It's out there. You just have to know where to look. These words are repeated over and over by all the internet marketing gurus. What are they speaking about? They're talking about easy money. It's out there, and they have unlimited access to it. While so many people struggle just to make a single sale with their business, others find that they can hardly keep up to the demand. What are the key differences between these people, and how can you be one of the easy money earners?
The fact of the matter is, that most of the business people join tell you to market the business in the completely wrong way. They tell you to make names lists, and call every person you know, then when you've alienated everyone you know, they tell you to pester everyone you don't know. Just keep calling and pestering people until you finally manage to bully a couple of them into buying something from you. Then it's up to those people to repeat the process. Of course, in the process, now you have no friends and your family won't talk to you. This is the last thing you should be doing if you're looking for a way to make easy money from your computer.
The first thing you're gonna have to do is learn how to market. Not by harassing your warm market, but learning firstly how to get your message out there, then when you're contacted by people about your message, how to convert that into a sale. People do not like to be sold anything, but they do like to buy things. It has to be their idea. You have to think of yourself simply as a conveyor of information. It's important that you find different ways of marketing other than harassing your family and friends, and this is a good place to start.
The next thing you're going to need to do is brush up on your sales skills. If you contact people, and you just cram down their throats what you want them to know about what you have to offer, you're gonna shut every single one of them down to something that might truly benefit them. You have to learn a softer touch. Don't force anything on anyone. You can answer questions they might have, or provide information on a variety of topics related to your product or service, but never actually try to get them to buy. A simple mention in passing of your product is far more effective than a full on sales pitch.
Other techniques you can use are compliments. You would be surprised how far these will take you in your sales process. Make the other person feel important. If you play to their ego, it's a winning strategy every time. However, just throwing a bunch of compliments at a person can turn them off. That's why the best way of making someone feel important is to pay attention to them. Ask them questions. Find out about them. Why do they want what you have to offer, why are they interested. One of the best questions you can ask a prospective client is "What's your story?" because it gets them to open up to you. By taking an interest in them, you make them believe that they are really important. When that happens, you will have that person completely on your side.
Just adding a few simple techniques like this to your sales repertoire will keep you from having to fight to make sales. Sales will just be something that happens in the process of making friends.
